Albiglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric, taken alone or in combination with milk thistle, might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in patients taking antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that taking a product containing tree turmeric and milk thistle extracts can lower blood glucose levels, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those on antidiabetic agents. Additionally, clinical research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can lower blood glucose levels.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: tree turmeric (and the berberine in it) can lower your blood sugar on its own. Albiglutide, your once-weekly injection for type 2 diabetes, is also working hard to bring those numbers down. Stack the two together and the effects can add up, so your blood sugar could drop lower than you intended.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or unusually tired. Albiglutide by itself rarely causes lows, but adding a blood-sugar-lowering supplement changes that math. This concern is backed by real human studies, so it's worth taking seriously. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your home glucose readings if you do combine them.
