Here's the simple version: cenobamate (Xcopri) already tends to make people drowsy, since it calms down overactive electrical signals in the brain. Tree turmeric, through its berberine, has shown mild sedative effects in animal studies, so the worry is that stacking the two could add up and leave you feeling extra sleepy, dizzy, or foggy. Cenobamate isn't a prodrug, so this isn't about activation, it's just two things that may both push you toward drowsiness.

I want to be honest that this is a theoretical concern based only on lab and animal work, not strong human studies. Still, since cenobamate is a seizure medicine you don't want to mess with on your own, please run any berberine or tree turmeric supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.
