Dalteparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric might have additive effects when used with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs and increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro and animal research suggest that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can inhibit platelet aggregation.

Here's the simple version: Dalteparin (Fragmin) already thins your blood to stop dangerous clots. Tree turmeric, through its berberine content, may also make your platelets less sticky. Stack those two together and you could, in theory, tip toward too much blood-thinning, which raises your bleeding risk.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not from real people taking both. So it's a possibility, not a proven problem. Still, with a clot-prevention injection like dalteparin, I'd play it safe. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, pink or dark urine, or cuts that won't stop. Don't start tree turmeric without first checking with your doctor or pharmacist.

About Dalteparin Injection

What Is Dalteparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Fragmin

Fragmin (dalteparin) injection is used to prevent blood clots (deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) in patients having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or in medical patients who are severely immobile during a serious illness. It is also used to reduce the risk of dangerous complications from unstable angina and a type of heart attack called non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, given alongside aspirin.

Fragmin is also used for the extended treatment of symptomatic venous thromboembolism (VTE — blood clots in the veins or lungs) to prevent recurrence in adult cancer patients, and for the treatment of symptomatic VTE in children from birth (gestational age at least 35 weeks). Fragmin is not intended for the immediate (acute) treatment of VTE.
