Mometasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric might increase the levels and clinical effects of drugs that are substrates of CYP3A4.
In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence suggest that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, moderately inhibits CYP3A4.

Here's the gist for mometasone (the steroid in Elocon cream and Asmanex inhalers). The berberine in tree turmeric can mildly slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the routes your body uses to clear mometasone. If that route slows, a bit more of the drug can stick around. In theory that could mean a slightly stronger steroid effect over time.

Now the practical part: mometasone applied to skin or breathed into the lungs barely reaches the bloodstream, so this interaction is mostly theoretical for those forms. If anything showed up, it would look like typical steroid overexposure, things like skin thinning at the cream site or, rarely with heavy use, body-wide steroid effects. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but do mention the supplement to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

Mometasone Furoate topical products are used to relieve the inflammation and itching (pruritus) that come with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses — a broad category of skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment.

Mometasone Furoate Topical Solution (Lotion) is specifically indicated for these skin conditions in patients 12 years of age and older. Mometasone Furoate cream may be used in adults and in children 2 years of age and older.
