Dr. Brian Staiger, PharmD, BCPS
Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the simple version: Indiplon is a sleep medicine that calms the brain to help you fall asleep. Wild lettuce is an herb that many people take for the same reason, since its plant compounds seem to have a mild relaxing, sedating effect. When you put two calming things together, their effects can stack on top of each other.

So pairing them could leave you feeling more drowsy, groggy, or unsteady than expected, with effects that may linger into the next morning. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how each works, not proven in solid studies, and wild lettuce itself is poorly researched. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
