Wild Lettuce + Temazepam
Temazepam brand names: Restoril, Apo-Temazepam, Dom-Temazepam, Gen-Temazepam, Novo-Temazepam, and others.
Wild Lettuce has a moderate interaction with Temazepam. Theoretically, concomitant use with drugs with sedative effects might cause additive therapeutic effects and adverse effects.

CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Temazepam
Temazepam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Wild Lettuce interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing with pairing wild lettuce and Temazepam: both are aiming for the same goal, which is to calm the brain down. Temazepam is a benzodiazepine that you take at bedtime to help you fall and stay asleep. Wild lettuce, going by lab and animal studies, seems to have its own mild sedative effect. Stack them together and those calming effects can add up.
This concern is theoretical, based on how the herb behaves, not on strong human studies. Still, the realistic worry is feeling extra drowsy, groggy, dizzy, or unsteady the next morning. I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you're older or already feel sleepy on Temazepam.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Temazepam
This page covers Wild Lettuce only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Temazepam page lists 197 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: 1,4-butanediol (major), Activated Charcoal (major), Beer (major), Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (ghb) (major) and Grapefruit (major).
By severity: 9 major · 150 moderate · 38 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Temazepam page
“Alcohol is the interaction I would flag first for anyone taking temazepam (Restoril), a benzodiazepine sleep medicine. Beer and wine both carry major ratings because they layer their own sedation on top of a drug that already depresses the nervous system, and that additive drowsiness runs through 78 of the 197 supplements on file.”

About Wild Lettuce
What is Wild Lettuce?
- Insomnia and trouble sleeping
- Anxiety and restlessness
- Pain relief
- Cough and respiratory symptoms
- Muscle spasms
Wild lettuce is a traditional herb used mainly for sleep, anxiety, and pain, but solid human research supporting these uses is very limited. Because its safety is not well studied, it should be used cautiously, avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding, and discussed with your pharmacist or doctor first.
About Temazepam
What Is Temazepam Used For?
Brand names: Restoril, Apo-Temazepam, Dom-Temazepam, Gen-Temazepam, Novo-Temazepam, Temazepam Gelthix
Temazepam capsules — sold as Restoril and under the generic name Temazepam — are indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia, generally 7 to 10 days. They help people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
This medication is intended for short periods only. If sleep trouble doesn't improve within 7 to 10 days, that may signal an underlying medical or psychiatric condition that needs its own evaluation.
