Here's the simple version: tramadol already works on your brain and nervous system to ease pain, and one of its known effects is making you feel drowsy or relaxed. Wild lettuce is used as a calming, sleep-promoting herb, so the concern is that the two together could pile up and leave you extra sleepy, foggy, dizzy, or slow to react. That can be risky for driving or anything that needs focus.

I want to be honest that this caution is theoretical, based on how each one acts rather than strong human studies on the combo. Wild lettuce itself isn't well researched for safety. Still, since tramadol can also affect breathing and seizure risk, I'd play it safe. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.
