What’s inside
Full disclosure
Amplify A.T. contains 2 active ingredients. Mixed tocotrienols are a form of vitamin E believed to support cellular health, and astaxanthin is a red pigment from marine sources with antioxidant properties.
The softgel capsule is filled with extra virgin olive oil and also contains gelatin, glycerin, and purified water as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for these ingredients is mixed and often thin. Mixed tocotrienols show possibly effective data for diabetes support, though possibly ineffective for cholesterol — and for alopecia areata and breast cancer, the evidence is too limited to rate.
Astaxanthin's effectiveness for age-related cognitive decline, macular degeneration, aging skin, Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and carpal tunnel syndrome is similarly not yet established in the data we hold. Neither ingredient has strong evidence backing the claims often made about them.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both ingredients are generally well tolerated in studies, but long-term safety at supplement doses is not firmly established. Orally, no adverse effects were reported in clinical trials for tocotrienols.
Astaxanthin may cause mild stomach upset, loose stools, or red-colored stools in some people — a small number of trial participants reported abdominal pain or increased bowel movements at higher doses. During pregnancy, the safety data advise against tocotrienols and astaxanthin; there isn't enough information to know either way.
While breastfeeding, similar caution applies — talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, check if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or aspirin (Minor risk with tocotrienols). Also check any medications your liver breaks down via CYP3A4 or CYP2B6 enzymes — these include many statins, some antifungals, some antiretrovirals, and immunosuppressants (Moderate risk with astaxanthin).
Use the tool on this page to verify your medications.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Amplify A.T. may be worth considering if you're interested in antioxidant support and your doctor has ruled out interactions with your medications — especially blood thinners or drugs your liver processes through CYP3A4 and CYP2B6. Because the evidence for what it actually does is limited, and interactions are a real concern, check your exact medications here and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before starting.

Amplify A.T. by AdvoCare Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Amplify A.T. by AdvoCare contains two active ingredients with documented interactions.
The main concern is astaxanthin, which may theoretically slow how your body clears certain medications metabolized by your liver enzymes (CYP3A4 and CYP2B6 substrates), potentially raising their levels. This hasn't been seen in humans yet, but it's a Moderate-severity theoretical risk worth checking if you take drugs processed this way — including some statins, some antifungals, some immunosuppressants, and others.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Mixed tocotrienols carry a Minor interaction with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs like warfarin and aspirin. The concern is a possible increased bleeding risk, though this has not been reported in actual people.
Tocotrienols do inhibit platelet clumping in lab studies, so caution is warranted.
Altogether, these interactions span 748 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to search for your exact drugs before you start.

Astaxanthin
Cytochrome P450 2B6 (Cyp2B6) Substrates
Theoretically, astaxanthin may decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2B6.
In vitro research shows that astaxanthin induces cytochrome CYP2B6 enzyme activity in human hepatocytes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, astaxanthin may decrease levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that astaxanthin induces CYP3A4 enzyme activity in human hepatocytes. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Mixed Tocotrienols
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Concomitant use of tocotrienols with anticoagulant or antiplatelet agents might increase the risk of bleeding. However, this has not been reported in humans.
Taking tocotrienols orally inhibits experimentally-induced platelet aggregation in humans. Theoretically tocotrienols might increase the risk of bleeding if taken with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. However, tocotrienols 400-800 mg daily have been used with aspirin and/or clopidogrel for 1 year with no clear cumulative antiplatelet effects and no reports of bleeding.
