Crominex 3+ has two active ingredients. PrimaVie Shilajit is a purified fulvic acid mineral complex traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine.
Capros is a standardized extract of Indian gooseberry, a fruit rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. The product also contains inactive ingredients — hypromellose (a capsule material), acacia gum, and white rice flour — that help hold it together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for this product is limited. PrimaVie Shilajit has insufficient reliable evidence for the conditions we hold data on: Alzheimer disease, sexual dysfunction, athletic performance, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and osteopenia.
Indian gooseberry fares slightly better — it's possibly effective for heartburn and acid reflux (GERD) and possibly effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia). For other uses listed, evidence is insufficient.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Indian gooseberry is generally well tolerated as a food, but safety data on supplement doses is limited. A small number of trial participants reported mild side effects: a few had stomach discomfort, one reported fatigue, and a handful had musculoskeletal pain.
PrimaVie Shilajit carries a rare but serious risk — one case of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) has been reported after dose escalation. One case of very high blood pressure linked to fluid and electrolyte imbalance was reported in a woman using shilajit during pregnancy, though the role of shilajit could not be confirmed.
Shilajit also carries a contamination risk if not purified and tested; use only verified brands. During pregnancy, the safety data advises against PrimaVie Shilajit.
For Indian gooseberry, there isn't enough data to know either way — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice. Neither ingredient should be used while breastfeeding.

Chromium
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, chromium may have additive effects with antidiabetic agents and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some research shows that taking chromium might lower blood glucose levels, especially in patients with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes.
Insulin
Theoretically, concomitant use of chromium and insulin might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In clinical research, chromium has been shown to increase insulin sensitivity,
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Others)
Chromium might bind levothyroxine in the intestinal tract and decrease levothyroxine absorption.
Clinical research in healthy volunteers shows that taking chromium picolinate 1000 mcg with levothyroxine 1 mg decreases serum levels of levothyroxine by 17% when compared to taking levothyroxine alone. Advise patients to take levothyroxine at least 30 minutes before or 3-4 hours after taking chromium.
Aspirin
Theoretically, aspirin might increase chromium absorption.
Animal research suggests that aspirin may increase chromium absorption and chromium levels in the blood.
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (Nsaids)
NSAIDs might increase chromium levels in the body.
Drugs that are prostaglandin inhibitors, such as NSAIDs, seem to increase chromium absorption and retention.
