Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Hemp product and its label doesn't state a use — see Hemp's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence we hold doesn't establish that CBD oil works for the conditions studied. It's been evaluated for constipation, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and familial hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol), but the data rates it as having insufficient reliable evidence in each case.

That doesn't mean it doesn't work—it means the science isn't settled yet on whether it does.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Hemp seed foods are generally well tolerated in normal dietary amounts. However, concentrated CBD extracts and supplements like this one are less studied, so caution is advised.

Serious side effects are rare but have been reported, including allergic reactions (from hives to anaphylaxis and difficulty breathing) and in one case, elevated liver enzymes in a young child given very large doses. Most people taking hemp products don't experience problems, but if you notice any signs of an allergic reaction or unusual symptoms, stop and talk to your doctor right away.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Hemp.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 939 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on estrogens or hormone therapy (Moderate interaction risk), or if you take blood thinners, blood pressure medications, ACE inhibitors, or drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 or CYP3A4 enzymes (Minor risks). The interaction checker on this page can help you look up your specific medications.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

If you're considering this CBD oil for a specific health concern, keep in mind the evidence doesn't yet show it works for the conditions that have been studied. It's important to check whether it interacts with any medications you take—especially blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, or hormone therapy.

Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before you start, especially if you're on any regular medications or have liver concerns.

Estrogens

Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)

Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Antihypertensive Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Full Spectrum CBD Oil 300 mg by Remedys Nutriton: Common Questions

Does Full Spectrum CBD Oil 300 mg by Remedys Nutriton interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Full Spectrum CBD Oil 300 mg has a known interaction with 938 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Full Spectrum CBD Oil 300 mg contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Is hemp CBD oil safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
The data we hold doesn't include safety information for pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding—they can give you personalized advice.
Can I take this if I'm allergic to other plants?
Allergic reactions to hemp seed are uncommon but do happen. People with allergies to hemp have reported hives, facial swelling, and difficulty breathing. If you have a known allergy to hemp or cannabis, or a history of severe plant allergies, talk to your doctor before trying this product.
Will this help with my eczema or constipation?
The evidence we hold isn't strong enough yet to say whether CBD oil works for those conditions. The rating is insufficient reliable evidence for both. If you're considering it for a specific health problem, talk with your doctor about whether it's worth trying and what else might help.
What exactly is CBD oil, and is it the same as cannabis?
CBD oil is derived from hemp, a cannabis plant bred to have very low levels of THC (the compound that gets you high). This product won't intoxicate you, but it's a concentrated extract rather than food-form hemp seed, so it's less well studied for safety.
How much CBD am I getting per dose?
This product provides 300 mg of CBD oil per serving. The exact amount per dose depends on the serving size listed on the label—check that before you start.
