What’s inside

Low disclosure
Ingredient Transparency · database check
Low

Most active ingredients don't disclose an individual amount — you can't tell how much of each you're getting.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 3 active ingredients.
  • “Proprietary Blend” is a proprietary blend — the label gives one combined amount (1 mL) without saying how much of each component you get.

This product contains 3 active ingredients: hemp extract, hemp oil, and cannabinoids. Hemp extract and hemp oil are both sourced from the hemp plant and deliver the supplement's active compounds.

The product also contains several inactive ingredients — vegetable glycerin, distilled water, organic grain alcohol, maltodextrin, and natural flavor — which are used as preservatives, carriers, and flavoring.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Hemp product and its label doesn't state a use — see Hemp's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence for hemp extract and hemp oil in this product isn't yet established. Our data shows insufficient reliable evidence to rate them for constipation, eczema (atopic dermatitis), or high cholesterol levels.

That doesn't mean they don't work — it means the research isn't solid enough yet to say either way. We hold no effectiveness data for cannabinoids in this formulation.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Hemp products in food amounts are generally well tolerated. Because this is a concentrated supplement extract rather than a food, it's less studied than whole hemp seed, and caution is advised.

Rare serious side effects have been reported — anaphylaxis, allergy reactions (hives, facial swelling, shortness of breath), and in one case elevated liver enzymes and hepatitis in a young child given very high doses for seizures. Allergies to hemp seed protein, though uncommon, are documented.

We hold no pregnancy or breastfeeding safety data for this product.

Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Hemp.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 939 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take estrogens or hormone therapy (the main concern here), blood pressure medications (including ACE inhibitors), blood thinners like warfarin or aspirin, or any medication your liver breaks down, including some antidepressants and cancer drugs. No interactions are documented for cannabinoids, but we hold no data on that ingredient.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

This product is designed with hemp extract and oil, but the evidence for what it actually does isn't established in our data. More importantly, it interacts with several medication types — especially hormone therapy, blood pressure drugs, and blood thinners — and may affect how your liver processes certain medications.

If you're on any prescription drugs, check them against the tool on this page before starting, and talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you.

Estrogens

Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)

Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Antihypertensive Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Full-Spectrum Hemp Blend by Mountain Meadow Herbs: Common Questions

Does Full-Spectrum Hemp Blend by Mountain Meadow Herbs interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Full-Spectrum Hemp Blend has a known interaction with 938 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Full-Spectrum Hemp Blend contains 3 active ingredients, and an interaction can come from any of them. We check every ingredient, combine the results into one list per medication, and show which ingredient and mechanism is responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Does this product actually work for anything?
According to our data, the evidence for hemp extract and hemp oil isn't solid enough yet to say they work for constipation, eczema, or high cholesterol. The effectiveness is rated insufficient — meaning we don't have enough reliable research to rate it either way.
Is it safe if I'm not on any medications?
In food amounts, hemp is generally well tolerated. Because this is a concentrated supplement, it's less studied than whole hemp seed. Serious side effects are rare but have been reported — allergic reactions (hives, facial swelling, shortness of breath, anaphylaxis). If you have a food allergy history or respiratory issues, talk with your pharmacist first.
Can I take this while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We don't have safety data on file for this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you in those situations.
What's the difference between hemp extract and hemp oil in this blend?
Both come from the hemp plant and carry the same interaction risks, but hemp extract is typically a more concentrated form while hemp oil is the pressed oil from the seed. Together they deliver the supplement's active compounds.
Will this interact with my birth control?
Possibly — our data shows a Moderate concern between hemp and estrogens (hormone therapy). Birth control containing estrogen could be affected. Check with your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
What are the inactive ingredients for?
Vegetable glycerin, water, grain alcohol, and maltodextrin help preserve the product and carry the active ingredients. Natural flavor makes it taste better. They're fillers and carriers, not active.
