This supplement contains 4 active ingredients. Astragalus root extract is a traditional botanical used to support immune function.
Reishi fruiting body extract comes from a fungus long used in herbal medicine. AP-Bio is a standardized andrographis extract, sourced from a plant native to South Asia.
Mushroom beta glucan is a soluble fiber derived from mushroom cell walls and studied for immune and cardiovascular support. The product also contains inactive ingredients—cellulose, water, and hypo-allergenic plant fiber—which serve as fillers and binders to form the capsule.

The evidence for what this formula can do varies widely by ingredient. Mushroom beta-glucan is the strongest performer in the data we hold: it's rated likely effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and heart disease.

Astragalus, reishi, and andrographis are generally well tolerated in the short term, though long-term safety data is limited for reishi and product quality varies for andrographis. Mushroom beta-glucan from food sources is well tolerated; concentrated supplements lack safety data, so use caution.
Common side effects reported with these ingredients include dizziness, nausea, rash, stomach upset, headache, and fatigue—most often with andrographis at higher doses or longer durations. Reishi may also cause dry mouth, itching, or respiratory symptoms.
Rare serious effects include severe allergic reactions with andrographis. Astragalus should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data.
Andrographis is rated possibly unsafe in pregnancy and should also be avoided while breastfeeding. For reishi and beta-glucan, safety data during pregnancy and breastfeeding is insufficient—talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you.

Beyond immunosuppressants, you'll want to be careful with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives). Reishi, andrographis, and beta-glucan all carry a theoretical risk of lowering blood pressure further, which could cause dizziness or fainting.
Astragalus and reishi may also interact with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (such as warfarin or aspirin) at higher doses, raising bleeding risk. If you take diabetes medications, astragalus and reishi might add to their blood-sugar-lowering effect, raising the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Andrographis carries additional minor interactions with specific pain relievers and diabetes drugs—etoricoxib, celecoxib, and glipizide—that may alter how your body absorbs or processes them.
Astragalus also has a documented Moderate interaction with lithium, a mood-stabilizer medication: its diuretic effect might reduce how quickly your kidneys clear lithium, raising levels in your blood. Additionally, astragalus may theoretically interfere with cyclophosphamide, a cancer drug.

AP-Bio
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, andrographis might increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Animal and laboratory studies suggest that andrographis has antiplatelet effects.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, andrographis might increase the risk of hypotension when used with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that andrographis has hypotensive effects.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, andrographis might interfere with the effects of immunosuppressive drugs.
Laboratory research suggests that andrographolide has immunostimulant activity.
Celecoxib (Celebrex)
Theoretically, andrographis extract might increase the maximum concentration and time to peak concentration of celecoxib. The clinical significance of these changes is unclear.
Animal research suggests that andrographis extract taken orally increases the maximum concentration and time to peak concentration of celecoxib but does not appear to impact the area under the curve.
Etoricoxib (Arcoxia)
Theoretically, andrographis might decrease the absorption of etoricoxib, although the clinical significance is unclear.
Animal research shows that andrographis extract, or the constituent andrographolide, taken orally with etoricoxib decreases the bioavailability of etoricoxib. However, this reduced bioavailability is not correlated with a reduction in the anti-inflammatory effects of etoricoxib in arthritic mice models. The clinical significance of this interaction is unclear.
Glipizide (Glucotrol)
Theoretically, andrographis extract might increase the maximum concentration and area under the curve of glipizide; however, opposite effects are seen with the constituent, andrographolide. The clinical significance of this interaction is unclear.
Animal research suggests that andrographis extract taken orally with glipizide in diabetes-induced rats increases the maximum concentration and area under the curve of glipizide. However, the opposite effect is seen with the constituent, andrographolide, in which the maximum concentration and area under the curve are decreased when taken with glipizide.
Reishi Fruiting Body Extract
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, high doses of reishi mushroom might increase the risk of bleeding.
A dose of 1.5 grams daily of reishi mushroom does not seem to decrease platelet aggregation, but a higher dose of 3 grams daily does.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, reishi mushroom might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that reishi mushroom decreases blood sugar. However, in patients with type 2 diabetes, taking reishi mushroom does not reduce fasting glucose levels, and its effects on glycated hemoglobin are inconsistent.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concurrent use of reishi mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Reishi mushroom has shown hypotensive activity in animal research. Clinical evidence suggests that reishi mushroom reduces blood pressure in some, but not all, patients with hypertension.
Mushroom Beta Glucan
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking beta-glucans with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Clinical research shows that taking beta-glucans may reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in some hypertensive individuals.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, beta-glucans might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Some clinical research shows that beta-glucans have immunostimulant effects.
Astragalus Root Extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking astragalus with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research in humans shows that astragalus might have hypoglycemic effects. Theoretically, taking astragalus, especially in combination with other hypoglycemic agents, might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Cyclophosphamide
Theoretically, astragalus might interfere with cyclophosphamide therapy.
Evidence regarding the effect of astragalus on immunosuppression caused by cyclophosphamide is conflicting. Some animal research suggests that astragalus reverses cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppression. However, other animal research shows no effect.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, astragalus might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Astragalus seems to stimulate immune function. Theoretically, taking astragalus might decrease the effects of immunosuppressive therapy.
Lithium
Theoretically, astragalus might increase levels and adverse effects of lithium.
Animal research suggests that astragalus has diuretic properties. Theoretically, due to this diuretic effect, astragalus might reduce excretion and increase levels of lithium.
