MycoForce Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking MycoForce against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of MycoForce by HealthForce SuperFoods
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
MycoForce contains six active ingredients: shiitake extract, maitake extract, reishi extract, chaga extract, cordyceps extract, and beta-glucans. These are all mushroom- or fungal-derived compounds traditionally used in herbal medicine; they're mixed together in a Mushroom Blend and a separate Lion's Mane extract group.
The product is delivered in VeganCaps capsules.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
The effectiveness evidence for these ingredients is limited. Beta-glucans show the strongest data — they're rated Likely Effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and heart disease prevention.
For the mushroom extracts, effectiveness ratings are mostly Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate across conditions like cancer, chemotherapy side effects, chronic fatigue, and blood sugar control. Shiitake is rated Possibly Ineffective for dental plaque, and reishi is rated Possibly Ineffective for high cholesterol.
In short, we don't yet have strong clinical proof that MycoForce works for most of the conditions it may be marketed for.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These mushroom extracts are generally well tolerated when eaten as food, but concentrated supplements have limited safety data. The most common side effects across the ingredients are gastrointestinal: abdominal discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Shiitake poses a specific risk — raw shiitake can cause shiitake dermatitis, a distinctive rash with whiplash-like marks, and workers handling shiitake in bulk may develop respiratory allergies or a more serious allergic lung inflammation. Chaga contains high oxalate levels; there are rare reports of kidney failure linked to excessive chaga consumption.
Reishi can cause dizziness, dry mouth, itching, and rash. Cordyceps side effects include constipation and, very rarely, a case of liver inflammation (though causality is unclear).
Pregnancy and breastfeeding safety data are absent or insufficient for all ingredients here — the safety data advises against concentrated supplements in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking MycoForce, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on any of these: blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), blood pressure medications, diabetes drugs, immunosuppressants, or testosterone supplements. These are the medication types most likely to interact with ingredients in this product, based on Moderate and Minor severity interactions documented in the clinical literature.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with clinical evidence supporting its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
MycoForce is a blend of six mushroom extracts traditionally used in herbal practice, but clinical evidence of effectiveness for most conditions is lacking or still building — beta-glucans for cholesterol and heart health are the exception. Anyone on blood thinners, immunosuppressants, blood pressure medications, diabetes drugs, or warfarin should check their specific prescriptions with their doctor or pharmacist before starting this product, as several ingredients carry Moderate interaction potential.
Pregnant or breastfeeding people should also talk it over with their healthcare provider first, since safety data are limited.

MycoForce by HealthForce SuperFoods Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
MycoForce by HealthForce SuperFoods contains six active mushroom and fungal ingredients, and through its shiitake, maitake, reishi, chaga, cordyceps, and beta-glucans content, it interacts with a range of medications.
The most serious interactions are Moderate in severity and involve blood thinners (anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs), where reishi, chaga, and cordyceps may theoretically increase bleeding risk — chaga and cordyceps through effects on platelet function that haven't been confirmed in humans, and reishi at higher doses (3 grams daily or more).
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Several other Moderate interactions span multiple drug types. Shiitake may decrease the effects of immunosuppressants and could theoretically reduce levels of certain antidepressants and other drugs metabolized by the liver enzyme CYP2D6 — though that effect hasn't been reported in people.
Maitake carries theoretical risks with blood pressure lowering drugs (antihypertensives), diabetes medications, and warfarin (a blood thinner), since one case report documented an elevated warfarin level after maitake use. Reishi similarly interacts with antihypertensive and diabetes drugs.
Chaga and cordyceps both may theoretically interfere with immunosuppressants, and chaga and cordyceps also interact with diabetes medications. Cordyceps also has a Minor interaction with testosterone supplements — animal data suggest it may raise testosterone, though the clinical significance is unclear.
Beta-glucans interact with antihypertensive drugs and immunosuppressants in the same theoretical manner.
Altogether, these interactions span 662 individual medications. Use the medication checker below to search your exact prescriptions before starting MycoForce.

Mushroom Blend
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that taking maitake mushroom polysaccharide (MMP) can lower blood glucose levels in patients with types 2 diabetes.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that maitake mushroom can lower blood pressure.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is limited evidence that maitake mushroom may increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
In a case report, a patient previously stabilized on warfarin developed an elevated international normalized ratio (INR) of 5.1 after taking maitake mushroom (Grifron-Pro Maitake D-Fraction) 1 drop/kg daily in three divided doses for one week. The elevated INR resolved after holding warfarin for two days, then reducing the dose by 11%. It is thought that the beta-glucan constituent of maitake mushroom might cause warfarin dissociation from proteins, resulting in increased free warfarin levels and increased warfarin effects.
