Here's the thing to understand: darifenacin (Enablex) already works by blocking acetylcholine, the same nerve messenger that Angel's Trumpet blocks. So you would be stacking two anticholinergic effects on top of each other. That can pile up into a stronger, unwanted version of darifenacin's usual side effects, things like dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble emptying the bladder, a racing heart, and confusion.

Honestly though, the bigger concern is Angel's Trumpet itself. It's a poisonous plant with no safe dose and can cause hallucinations, dangerous heart rhythms, or worse all on its own. This particular interaction is rated as theoretical based on how the chemicals behave, but please don't take this plant at all, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor with any questions.

Darifenacin extended-release tablets are used to treat overactive bladder. Specifically, they help with three main symptoms: sudden strong urges to urinate, leaking urine when that urge hits (urge urinary incontinence), and needing to urinate more often than normal.

All supported formulations — Darifenacin, Darifenacin 7.5 mg, and Darifenacin 15 mg extended-release tablets — are approved for this same use.
