ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Atropine Sulfate
Atropine Sulfate falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Angel's Trumpet interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Angel's Trumpet is loaded with the same kind of chemicals that atropine itself is, namely scopolamine and atropine. So when you put the two together, you're basically stacking two anticholinergic agents on top of each other. That means the effects don't just add up, they can pile on.
With atropine sulfate, you'd expect things like a racing heartbeat, very dry mouth, blurred vision, trouble urinating, flushing, and at higher levels confusion or hallucinations. Adding Angel's Trumpet can push all of that further and faster, and this plant is genuinely poisonous with no safe dose. While this warning is based on how these chemicals work rather than formal studies, please don't experiment here. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with atropine.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Atropine Sulfate page
“Atropine Sulfate is a potent anticholinergic in its own right, used for dangerously slow heart rhythms and, as Isopto Atropine drops, to dilate the pupil, so the 34 supplements and herbs on this list call for genuine caution before you add any of them. Henbane and scopolia, the two rated major, contain the very alkaloids atropine is bu…”
