First things first: Angel's Trumpet isn't a supplement you should be taking at all. It's a poisonous plant loaded with atropine and scopolamine, which can cause hallucinations, racing heartbeat, and far worse. There's no safe dose. But let's talk about why it matters alongside your bladder medicine.

Trospium (Sanctura) is an antimuscarinic, meaning it already works by blocking acetylcholine to calm an overactive bladder. Angel's Trumpet blocks that exact same system. Stack them together and you pile on anticholinergic effects: dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a fast heartbeat, plus confusion or hallucinations. This concern is based on how the chemicals behave rather than reported cases, but the plant's toxicity alone makes this a hard no. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything new.

What Is Trospium Used For?

Trospium — available as tablets and extended-release capsules — is used to treat overactive bladder (OAB). It targets three main symptoms: the sudden, hard-to-control urge to urinate (urgency), leaking urine when that urge hits (urge urinary incontinence), and needing to urinate much more often than usual (urinary frequency).

Both Trospium Chloride Tablets and Trospium Chloride Extended-Release Capsules carry this indication. Your prescriber will choose the formulation that fits your schedule and health history.
