First, the big picture: Angel's Trumpet is genuinely poisonous and isn't something you should ever take, no matter what medication you're on. With that said, here's why it matters specifically alongside Chlorpheniramine. This older allergy antihistamine already has mild drying, or "anticholinergic," effects of its own, things like dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, drowsiness, and sometimes confusion in older folks.

Angel's Trumpet contains atropine and scopolamine, which block the very same nervous system signals. Stacking them together could pile those effects on top of each other, leaving you more dried out, foggy, or with a racing heart. This concern is based on how the two work, not hard studies, but the real danger here is the plant itself. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before combining anything like this.

What Is Chlorpheniramine Used For?

Chlorpheniramine is used to temporarily relieve common allergy symptoms caused by hay fever (allergic rhinitis) or other upper respiratory allergies. These include runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.

These uses are supported across multiple products — including tablets (such as Aller-chlor, Allergy, Allergy Relief, Allergy Time, Anti Allergy, and Chlorpheniramine Maleate), extended-release tablets (Allergy Relief and Chlorphen-12), the oral solution Ed Chlorped Jr, and the inhalers ClorRelief and ClorRelief KIDs.
