Let me be very direct here: Angel's Trumpet is a poisonous plant, not a real supplement, and it should never be taken in any amount. On its own it can cause hallucinations, a racing heart, and even coma. The reason it matters with Tussionex is that the chlorpheniramine part of your medicine is an antihistamine that already has its own anticholinergic effects, meaning it dries you out and can make you foggy or sleepy.

Stacking Angel's Trumpet on top of that would pile up those same effects. You could see things like a very dry mouth, blurred vision, trouble urinating, fast heartbeat, severe confusion, and dangerous drowsiness made worse by the hydrocodone. This concern is based on how these chemicals work rather than formal studies, but the safe answer is simple: do not use Angel's Trumpet, and check with your pharmacist or doctor about anything you are taking.
