Theoretically, ayahuasca might have additive effects when used with dopamine agonists.

Rotigotine (Neupro) is a dopamine agonist, meaning it works by mimicking dopamine in your brain to help with Parkinson's symptoms or restless legs. Here's the concern: ayahuasca contains harmine, and in animal studies harmine appears to push up dopamine levels too. So in theory, pairing the two could stack their effects on top of each other, which might amplify dopamine-related side effects like nausea, dizziness, low blood pressure when you stand up, sleepiness, hallucinations, or confusion.

I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical interaction based on how things work in the lab, not on real-world reports in people. That said, ayahuasca is a powerful, MAOI-containing brew with its own serious risks. Please don't combine it with rotigotine without talking to your doctor or pharmacist first.
