Dasiglucagon Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of Baikal skullcap with antidiabetes drugs might enhance blood glucose lowering effects.
Baicalein, a constituent of Baikal skullcap, has alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity in vitro. Animal research also suggests that Baikal skullcap enhances the antidiabetic effects of metformin. However, in a small human study, taking Baikal skullcap extract did not enhance the antidiabetic effects of metformin, although it did modestly lower glucose levels during an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Until more is known, use cautiously.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) is your rescue medicine. You only reach for it during a serious low blood sugar emergency, and its whole job is to push blood sugar up by telling the liver to release stored glucose. Baikal skullcap, on the other hand, may gently nudge blood sugar down. So in theory they work in opposite directions during that emergency.

Honestly, the evidence here is thin and mostly from lab and animal studies, with one small human study showing only a modest effect. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but if you take Baikal skullcap and rely on Zegalogue for lows, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can watch your blood sugar patterns.

What Is Dasiglucagon Injection Used For?

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — a dangerously low blood sugar episode — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. Severe hypoglycemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.

Zegalogue is not a day-to-day diabetes medicine. It is prescribed as an emergency kit to be on hand in case a person with diabetes becomes unresponsive or cannot safely swallow food or juice to raise their blood sugar.
