Naproxen, Sumatriptan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.

Theoretically, Baikal skullcap may increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 enzymes.
In vitro evidence suggests that constituents of Baikal skullcap inhibit the activity of CYP1A2. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Treximet combines two medicines: naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and sumatriptan (a migraine medicine). The piece that matters here is sumatriptan, which the body partly clears using a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In lab studies only, compounds in Baikal skullcap (like baicalein) appear to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in people, sumatriptan could build up a bit and lead to stronger effects, such as flushing, tingling, dizziness, a tight or heavy feeling in the chest, or sleepiness.

The good news: this is theoretical and comes only from test-tube research, not from people, so the real-world risk is likely small. Still, since both can affect how you feel, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, Baikal skullcap might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
Preliminary clinical research suggests that taking capsules containing a combination of astragalus, goldthread, and Baikal skullcap daily for 4 weeks inhibits platelet aggregation; the effect seems to be similar to that of aspirin 50 mg daily. It is unclear if this effect is due to Baikal skullcap, other ingredients, or the combination.

Treximet pairs naproxen, an NSAID, with sumatriptan for migraines. The piece that matters here is the naproxen. NSAIDs already nudge up bleeding risk a bit because they affect how your platelets stick together and can irritate the stomach lining. The concern is that Baikal skullcap might add to that effect, since lab work suggests it can make platelets less sticky, somewhat like a low dose of aspirin.

Honestly, this is mostly theoretical and comes from test-tube and early studies, not strong human trials, so don't panic. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, dark stools, or stomach upset. Before adding the supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor.
