Tamoxifen Citrate falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.

Theoretically, Baikal skullcap might increase levels of drugs transported by P-glycoprotein.
In vitro and animal research suggests that baicalein, oroxylin A, and wogonin, constituents of Baikal skullcap, can inhibit P-glycoprotein. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for tamoxifen and Baikal skullcap. Your body uses a tiny pump called P-glycoprotein to help move certain drugs around and clear them out. Lab and animal studies hint that compounds in Baikal skullcap (baicalein, wogonin, and others) might slow that pump down. If that happened, a bit more tamoxifen could stay in your system, which in theory could mean more of its usual effects, like hot flashes, nausea, or fatigue.

I want to be honest with you though: this has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never confirmed in people, and it's rated a minor concern. Still, since tamoxifen is an important cancer medicine, please run any herbal supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist first before adding it.

Baikal skullcap is a traditional Chinese herb (Huang Qin) used for inflammation, allergies, and infections, with active compounds like baicalin and baicalein studied mostly in the lab. About Tamoxifen

What Is Tamoxifen Used For?

Brand names: Nolvadex, Soltamox

Tamoxifen is used to treat metastatic breast cancer (breast cancer that has spread) in both women and men, and as adjuvant (after-surgery) therapy for early-stage breast cancer in women. It also reduces the occurrence of cancer in the opposite breast when used as adjuvant therapy.

In women with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) — a very early, non-invasive form of breast cancer — tamoxifen is used after breast surgery and radiation to reduce the risk of developing invasive breast cancer. It is also approved to reduce the incidence of breast cancer in women who are at high risk but have not yet been diagnosed. Soltamox (oral solution) is specifically indicated for all of these uses in adult patients.
