Ertugliflozin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Bay Leaf interacts with.

Concomitant use of bay leaf with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Preliminary clinical research shows that bay leaf can lower blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes who are already taking antidiabetes medication. Advise patients to monitor glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments may be necessary.

Here's the simple version: bay leaf may gently nudge your blood sugar down on its own. When you stack that effect on top of ertugliflozin (Steglatro), which already lowers your sugar by flushing glucose out through your urine, the two together could push your numbers a little lower than expected. That raises the odds of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), with signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, or feeling confused.

To be fair, this is mostly a theoretical concern based on how bay leaf behaves, not strong proof. The pinch you use in soups or sauces is unlikely to matter. Concentrated capsules or essential oils are where I'd be more cautious. If you take those, check your glucose more often and chat with your pharmacist or doctor before making any changes.
