Viloxazine Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) INHIBITORS — the group Black Tea interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might increase the levels and adverse effects of caffeine.
Black tea contains caffeine. Caffeine is metabolized by CYP1A2,. Theoretically, drugs that inhibit CYP1A2 may decrease the clearance rate of caffeine from black tea and increase caffeine levels.

Here's the thing to know about Viloxazine (Qelbreenda): it's a fairly strong blocker of a liver enzyme called CYP1A2, and that same enzyme is what your body uses to clear caffeine. So when you sip black tea while taking viloxazine, the caffeine from your tea can hang around longer than usual and build up a bit.

In real life, that might mean you feel more jittery, have a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feel anxious or restless. This is a theoretical concern based on how the drug works, not something proven in studies, so don't panic. A cup or two may be fine, but heavy tea (or coffee and energy drinks) is where it adds up. If you notice these effects, ease back and chat with your pharmacist or doctor.
