Pazopanib falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Borage interacts with.

Theoretically, borage seed oil may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In healthy individuals, borage seed oil supplementation does not seem to affect platelet aggregation. However, gamma-linolenic acid, a constituent of borage seed oil, seems to decrease platelet aggregation by 45% and increase the risk of bleeding by 40% in animal and clinical research.

Here's something worth keeping on your radar. Pazopanib (Votrient) isn't a blood thinner in the usual sense, but this kinase inhibitor already carries its own risk of bleeding on its own. The concern with borage seed oil is that its main ingredient, GLA, may gently lower how well your platelets stick together, which could add to that bleeding tendency.

To be fair, the evidence here is on the weaker side and partly theoretical, with some animal and small clinical data. In healthy people, borage didn't clearly change platelet function. Still, since you're on a cancer drug that can cause bleeding, I'd play it safe. Watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or blood in stool or urine, and please run any borage product past your oncologist or pharmacist first.

Borage is a Mediterranean herb whose seed oil is rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid studied mostly for skin conditions and arthritis with mixed results. The plant's leaves and flowers can contain liver-toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids, so only use products clearly labeled 'PA-free' and talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking it.

What Is Pazopanib Used For?

Brand name: Votrient

Pazopanib tablets — sold as the brand Votrient and as generic pazopanib — are used to treat two types of advanced cancer in adults: advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most common form of kidney cancer, and advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have already received prior chemotherapy.

Important limitation: Pazopanib has not been shown to work in adipocytic soft tissue sarcoma (a subtype involving fat cells) or in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), so it is not used for those cancers.
