Why this applies to Ozanimod Hydrochloride

Ozanimod Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C8 (CYP2C8) SUBSTRATES — the group Cannabidiol (cbd) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabidiol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C8.
In vitro research shows that cannabidiol inhibits CYP2C8. However, this interaction has yet to be reported in humans. Until more is known, use with caution. Theoretically, concomitant use of cannabidiol with CYP2C8 substrates might increase the risk for adverse effects from these substrates.

Here's the short version for Zeposia (ozanimod): your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C8 to help process part of this medicine. In lab (test tube) studies, CBD appears to slow that enzyme down. If that also happened in people, ozanimod and its active byproducts could build up a bit more than usual, which could mean stronger side effects like a slower heart rate, dizziness, headache, higher blood pressure, or changes in liver tests.

The important caveat: this is only seen in lab research so far and has not been confirmed in real patients, so it stays theoretical. Still, because ozanimod already affects heart rate and needs careful monitoring, I'd run any CBD product by your pharmacist or neurologist before combining the two.
