Moexipril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Cannabigerol (cbg) interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cannabigerol with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that an intraperitoneal injection of cannabigerol lowers blood pressure. The mechanism of action may be related to alpha-2-adrenoreceptor activity. The effect of oral intake of cannabigerol is unclear and this has not been shown in humans.

Moexipril works by relaxing your blood vessels to bring your blood pressure down. The concern here is simple overlap: CBG may also nudge blood pressure lower, so stacking the two could theoretically push your numbers down a little too far. That might show up as feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially when you stand up quickly, plus tiredness or a brief headache.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. The blood-pressure-lowering effect was seen in animal studies using injected CBG, not in people taking it by mouth, so this is mostly theoretical. It is not a reason to panic. If you do try CBG alongside your moexipril, let your pharmacist or doctor know, keep an eye on how you feel, and check your blood pressure at home so any changes get caught early.

What Is Moexipril Used For?

Brand name: Univasc

Moexipril Hydrochloride tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). They can be used on their own or combined with thiazide diuretics (water pills) when blood pressure is not controlled by moexipril alone.

It's worth knowing that ACE inhibitors, including moexipril, tend to lower blood pressure less effectively in Black patients than in non-Black patients, and Black patients also have a higher risk of a serious swelling reaction called angioedema with ACE inhibitors.
