Amlodipine Benzoate falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Cannabigerol (cbg) interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cannabigerol with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that an intraperitoneal injection of cannabigerol lowers blood pressure. The mechanism of action may be related to alpha-2-adrenoreceptor activity. The effect of oral intake of cannabigerol is unclear and this has not been shown in humans.

Here's the basic idea with CBG and your amlodipine (Katerzia). Amlodipine already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. The thought is that CBG might gently nudge blood pressure down too, so stacking the two could add up to readings that drop lower than you want.

I want to be honest about how thin the evidence is. This comes from animal studies using injected CBG, not oral supplements in people, so we really don't know if it happens in humans at all. Still, it's worth watching for signs of blood pressure dipping too low: dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, feeling unusually tired, or even a faint feeling. If you'd like to try CBG, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and don't change your amlodipine on your own.

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Katerzia

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
