Acebutolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Cannabigerol (cbg) interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cannabigerol with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that an intraperitoneal injection of cannabigerol lowers blood pressure. The mechanism of action may be related to alpha-2-adrenoreceptor activity. The effect of oral intake of cannabigerol is unclear and this has not been shown in humans.

Here's the simple version: Acebutolol already works to lower your blood pressure and slow your heart rate. CBG might, in theory, nudge blood pressure down too. If both are pushing in the same direction, you could in theory end up with pressure that drops a little too far. Realistic signs to watch for would be feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially when you stand up quickly, plus tiredness or a slower-than-usual pulse.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. This concern comes only from an animal study where CBG was injected, not swallowed. We don't have human data showing oral CBG actually lowers blood pressure, so this is more theoretical than proven. Still, since you're managing blood pressure or heart rhythm, please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding CBG so they can keep an eye on your numbers.

What Is Acebutolol Used For?

Acebutolol Hydrochloride capsules are used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. They can be used on their own or alongside other blood pressure medications, particularly thiazide-type diuretics.

They are also used to treat ventricular premature beats — extra, out-of-rhythm heartbeats that originate in the lower chambers of the heart. Acebutolol reduces how often these abnormal beats occur, including complex patterns that can be more concerning.
