Amlodipine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Cannabigerol (cbg) interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cannabigerol with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that an intraperitoneal injection of cannabigerol lowers blood pressure. The mechanism of action may be related to alpha-2-adrenoreceptor activity. The effect of oral intake of cannabigerol is unclear and this has not been shown in humans.

Here's the short version on pairing CBG with amlodipine (Norliqva). Amlodipine already works by relaxing your blood vessels to bring blood pressure down. The concern is that CBG might nudge blood pressure in that same downward direction, so stacking the two could theoretically add up to too much lowering. If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit faint, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about how thin the evidence is here. This idea comes only from animal studies using an injected form of CBG, and we simply don't know if swallowing a CBG supplement does the same thing in people. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it, and don't change your amlodipine on your own.

What Is Amlodipine Used For?

Brand name: Norliqva

Amlodipine treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children aged 6–17 years. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Sdamlo (oral solution) is specifically indicated for hypertension in adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.

Amlodipine also treats coronary artery disease in adults, including chronic stable angina (chest pain with exertion), vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's or variant angina, caused by coronary artery spasms), and documented coronary artery disease in patients without heart failure or significantly reduced heart pumping function.
