Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Cannabinol (cbn) interacts with.

Theoretically, cannabinol might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
In vitro research shows that cannabinol potently inhibits CYP2C9 enzymes. So far, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Vimovo combines naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) with esomeprazole (a stomach acid blocker). The naproxen part is handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In test-tube studies, CBN appears to block that same enzyme. The catch is that this has only been seen in the lab, never confirmed in real people.

If it did happen, naproxen could clear more slowly and build up a bit, which in theory might raise the risk of its usual side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, fluid retention, higher blood pressure, or kidney strain. I wouldn't lose sleep over this, but since the evidence is weak and CBN products vary so much, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
