Ceritinib falls under QT INTERVAL-PROLONGING DRUGS — the group Cinchona interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cinchona with other QT interval-prolonging drugs might cause an additive effect and increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias.
Quinidine and quinine, which are constituents of cinchona, prolong the QT interval.

Here's the thing to know about pairing cinchona with Zykadia (ceritinib). Both can stretch out something called the QT interval, which is a measure of your heart's electrical rhythm. Ceritinib already carries a known risk of QT prolongation on its own, and cinchona bark contains quinine and quinidine, two compounds that do the same thing. Stack them together and the effects may add up, which in rare cases can lead to a dangerous irregular heartbeat.

I want to be straight with you though: this concern is theoretical, based on how these compounds behave rather than reported cases. Still, since ceritinib is a serious cancer medicine and cinchona is unpredictable and risky on its own, please talk with your oncologist or pharmacist before combining them.
