Amphetamine Sulfate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cinchona interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cinchona might inhibit cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) and increase levels of drugs metabolized by this enzyme.
Quinidine, a constituent of cinchona, inhibits CYP2D6-mediated metabolism in humans.

Here's the gist: your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to help clear amphetamine. Cinchona bark contains quinidine, which is a known blocker of that same enzyme. If that pathway slows down, amphetamine could hang around longer and build up in your system.

For a stimulant like amphetamine, more buildup can mean a stronger effect and more of its usual side effects: a racing or pounding heart, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and anxiety. I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical and based on how these compounds behave, not on strong human studies with this exact pair. Still, cinchona bark itself can be risky, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.
