Inderide pairs two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and propranolol (a beta blocker). On its own, coconut water has shown in early research that it can gently nudge blood pressure down. So the idea here is simple addition: a drink that lowers blood pressure on top of pills that already do the same job could push your numbers a little too low.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or woozy when you stand up. Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based on how things work, not a proven danger, and an occasional glass with normal eating is unlikely to cause trouble. One extra note: the thiazide can drop your potassium, and coconut water adds some back, which is usually minor but worth mentioning to your doctor or pharmacist if you drink it often.
