Here's the gist for anyone using Insulin Lispro (Admelog) along with coconut water. Some animal studies hint that coconut water may nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own. Since insulin lispro is a fast-acting mealtime insulin that already lowers your blood sugar, the theory is that pairing the two could add up and slightly raise your chance of going too low.

I want to be honest though: this is based only on lab and animal research, so it's quite weak and unlikely to cause real trouble in everyday life. Still, if you enjoy coconut water often, just keep an eye out for signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. Check your readings as usual, and chat with your pharmacist or doctor if you notice anything off.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
