Flurbiprofen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Preliminary clinical research shows that berberine can inhibit CYP2C9. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2C9.

Here's the gist for flurbiprofen: your liver uses an enzyme called CYP2C9 to clear this NSAID out of your system. Corydalis yanhusuo (partly because it can contain berberine) may slow that enzyme down. If clearance slows, more flurbiprofen could linger in your blood, which can nudge up its usual side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, a higher chance of GI bleeding, fluid retention, or kidney strain.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical, based on how these compounds behave in the lab, not on real patient studies. Flurbiprofen is not a prodrug, so the direction here is more drug effect, not less. Still, since we don't know the magnitude, please run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Flurbiprofen tablets (sold as Flurbiprofen and Lurbiro) are used to relieve the pain, swelling, and stiffness of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Flurbiprofen Sodium eye drops are a separate product used during eye surgery — specifically to keep the pupil from constricting (getting smaller) while the procedure is underway. This use applies only to the ophthalmic (eye drop) form.
