Amphetamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the gist for amphetamine. Part of how your body clears amphetamine runs through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Corydalis (which contains berberine) may slow that enzyme down a bit. If amphetamine is cleared more slowly, a little more can linger in your system, which could nudge up the usual stimulant effects: a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, reduced appetite, or feeling on edge.

I want to be honest about how solid this is. This concern is theoretical, based on lab studies and how these compounds behave, not on strong human trials. For many people it may not amount to much. Still, since amphetamine already affects your heart and nerves, it's worth running this combo past your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

What Is Amphetamine Used For?

Brand names: Dyanavel XR, Adensys XR-ODT, Mydayis, Adzenys ER

Amphetamine treats Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in patients 6 years and older. Adzenys XR-ODT, Dyanavel XR, and the amphetamine extended-release orally disintegrating tablet formulations are specifically approved for ADHD in this age group.

Amphetamine Sulfate tablets and Evekeo (amphetamine sulfate tablets) are also approved for narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness) and as a short-term aid in a calorie-restricted weight-loss program for exogenous obesity (weight gain from external factors like overeating) in patients who have not responded to other approaches.
