Miconazole falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Here's something a little unusual about this pairing. Corydalis yanhusuo may gently slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The idea on file is that this could let other drugs cleared by that enzyme build up a bit. But miconazole works the opposite direction too. Miconazole is itself a fairly strong blocker of CYP3A4, so when you use it in a form that gets into your bloodstream, it can raise levels of many medications.

The good news is that most miconazole people use (vaginal creams or suppositories for yeast, or skin and athlete's foot products) stays mostly local, so very little reaches your blood. In those everyday situations, this combination is unlikely to cause real trouble. And remember, this whole interaction is theoretical, based on lab work, not solid human studies. If you're using an oral miconazole gel or take other prescription drugs, just check with your pharmacist first.
