First things first: Datura wrightii is genuinely dangerous and not something I'd ever recommend swallowing. With alfentanil, which is a powerful opioid given during anesthesia and short procedures, the worry here is overlap. Alfentanil already slows your breathing down, sometimes a lot. Datura's tropane alkaloids can pile on their own breathing problems, so using them together could make your breathing dangerously slow or even stop.

I'll be honest about the evidence: this is based mostly on anecdotal reports, not strong studies. But because alfentanil is a potent opioid used in monitored settings, this isn't a risk I'd shrug off. Please don't combine these, and tell your anesthesia team or pharmacist about anything you've taken.
