Prochlorperazine falls under ANTICHOLINERGIC DRUGS — the group Datura Wrightii interacts with.

Datura wrightii contains atropine and scopolamine, as well as other tropane alkaloids with anticholinergic activity. Concomitant use of Datura wrightii with anticholinergic drugs might increase anticholinergic effects and adverse effects. Some anticholinergic drugs include amantadine, atropine, belladonna alkaloids, phenothiazines, scopolamine, and tricyclic antidepressants.

First things first: Datura wrightii is genuinely dangerous and isn't something I'd ever recommend swallowing, even in tiny amounts. But to your actual question, here's the concern. Prochlorperazine already has its own mild anticholinergic (drying) properties. Datura is loaded with tropane alkaloids like atropine and scopolamine that block that same acetylcholine system, so stacking the two would pile those drying effects on top of each other.

In practical terms, you could see worse dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a racing heart, and in older folks especially, confusion or even hallucinations. This is a theoretical, pharmacology-based caution rather than something proven in studies, but the logic is sound. Please don't take Datura at all, and check with your pharmacist or doctor about anything you're considering alongside prochlorperazine.

What Is Prochlorperazine Used For?

Brand names: Prochlor, Compazine

Prochlorperazine is used across several forms and products to control severe nausea and vomiting in adults. It is also used to treat schizophrenia. Prochlorperazine tablets (Prochlorperazine, Prochlorperazine Maleate) are additionally approved for the short-term treatment of generalized non-psychotic anxiety — though they are not the first-choice treatment for anxiety, given their risk profile.

Compro rectal suppositories and Prochlorperazine rectal suppositories are specifically indicated for controlling severe nausea and vomiting in adults. Prochlorperazine Edisylate injection is approved for severe nausea and vomiting and for schizophrenia, but it is not approved for dementia-related psychosis.
