Doxylamine Succinate falls under SEIZURE THRESHOLD LOWERING DRUGS — the group Dendrobium interacts with.

The dendrobium constituent dendrobine is reported to have convulsant effects. Theoretically, combining dendrobium with pro-convulsant drugs might increase the risk of seizure. Some drugs that lower the seizure threshold include anesthetics (propofol, others), antiarrhythmics (mexiletine), antibiotics (amphotericin, penicillin, cephalosporins, imipenem), antidepressants (bupropion, others), antihistamines (cyproheptadine, others), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), narcotics (fentanyl, others), stimulants (methylphenidate), theophylline, and others.

Here's the gist with doxylamine (Unisom) and Dendrobium. Doxylamine is a sedating antihistamine, and like many antihistamines it can, in some people, nudge the brain's seizure threshold a little lower. Dendrobium contains a compound called dendrobine that, in lab settings, has shown convulsant (seizure-promoting) activity. Put the two together and, in theory, you could slightly raise the chance of a seizure.

I want to be honest about how soft this is: it's based on pharmacology and lab work, not real-world reports of people having problems. For most folks the risk is low, but if you have epilepsy or a seizure history, that changes the picture. Before pairing these, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
