Esomeprazole Magnesium falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.

Theoretically, DHEA might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.

Here's the gist with Nexium (esomeprazole) and DHEA. Esomeprazole is cleared by liver enzymes, including some CYP3A4, and DHEA may mildly slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a little more esomeprazole hang around in your system, nudging up the chance of typical side effects like headache, nausea, gas, or loose stools. It is not a prodrug, so this would mean a slightly stronger effect, not a weaker one.

The important part: this is based only on weak, anecdotal lab hints, and esomeprazole is actually handled more by a different enzyme (CYP2C19), so any real-world impact is likely small. Still, I'd run it by your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially since DHEA is a hormone with its own concerns.
