Galantamine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.

Theoretically, DHEA might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.

Here's the gist for these two together. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break down galantamine. There's some early, weak lab-type evidence that DHEA may slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened, a little more galantamine could hang around in your system than expected.

Galantamine isn't a prodrug, so more of it usually means a stronger effect, and that can mean more of its typical side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dizziness, or a slower heartbeat. That said, this is theoretical and based only on anecdotal reports, so we honestly don't know if it matters in real life. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how you feel.
