Azilsartan, Chlorthalidone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Diosmin interacts with.

Theoretically, diosmin might inhibit the metabolism of CYP2C9 substrates.
Diclofenac is metabolized by CYP2C9 enzymes. Clinical and laboratory research shows that diosmin inhibits the metabolism of diclofenac. A pharmacokinetic study in humans shows that taking diosmin (Venex 500) 500 mg daily for 9 days prior to oral administration of diclofenac 100 mg increases blood levels of diclofenac and decreases diclofenac clearance.

Here's the deal with Edarbyclor, which combines azilsartan (a blood pressure medicine) with chlorthalidone (a water pill). Azilsartan is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9, and diosmin can theoretically slow that enzyme down. If it does, a bit more azilsartan could linger in your body, which might nudge your blood pressure a little lower than expected. Realistically that could show up as dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand, or feeling unusually tired.

I want to be honest though: this concern is theoretical, based on how the drugs work and a study using a different medicine (diclofenac), not on people taking diosmin with Edarbyclor. For most folks it's likely minor. Still, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your blood pressure readings.

Diosmin is a citrus-derived flavonoid most often used for vein-related problems such as chronic venous insufficiency and hemorrhoids, and it is usually combined with a related flavonoid called hesperidin.
