ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine
Aspirin, Caffeine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Flaxseed interacts with.
Some clinical evidence suggests that the oil contained in flaxseed can decrease platelet aggregation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the practical picture with this combo product (Anacin contains aspirin plus caffeine). The aspirin part is already a blood thinner, since it makes your platelets less sticky and slows clotting. Flaxseed oil seems to do a little of the same thing, gently nudging platelets in that same direction. Stack them together and you could, in theory, get a bit more of a blood-thinning effect than you'd expect from the aspirin alone.
In real life this means watching for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or cuts that take longer to stop. To be honest, the evidence here is on the weaker side and the risk is modest. A sprinkle of flaxseed on your oatmeal is unlikely to matter much, but concentrated flaxseed oil supplements are worth running by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Caffeine page
“Anacin combines aspirin with caffeine, so supplements can hit it from two directions, and a few of the 347 on this list deserve real respect. The biggest group, over 200 ingredients, can raise bleeding risk on top of aspirin's blood-thinning effect; beer and wine carry major ratings because alcohol plus an aspirin-type drug makes stoma…”
