Here's the simple version: this isn't about green tea changing how your testosterone works in the body. Instead, it's about both being a little hard on the liver. Testosterone injections like Xyosted can occasionally stress liver function, and concentrated green tea extract supplements have rarely been linked to liver injury too. Stack them together and, in theory, the liver strain could add up.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's based on scattered anecdotal reports, and for most people it's unlikely to cause trouble. Drinking green tea as a beverage is very different from swallowing high-dose extract capsules. Watch for yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual fatigue, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding any green tea supplement.

Green tea is unlikely to produce clinically significant changes in the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro and in vivo research suggests that green tea can inhibit intestinal CYP3A and induce hepatic CYP3A4 enzymes. However, this effect is unlikely to be clinically significant, as green tea does not appear to affect CYP3A4 activity in humans.

Here's the short version: drinking green tea alongside your testosterone enanthate injections is very unlikely to cause any real problem. On paper, testosterone is partly processed by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and lab studies hint that green tea might nudge this enzyme one way or the other. But in actual people, green tea hasn't shown a meaningful effect on this pathway.

Because your testosterone is injected, it also skips much of the gut where green tea might tinker with things. So your normal cup or two of tea isn't expected to change how well your treatment works or bump up side effects like acne, mood changes, or higher red blood cell counts. If you're considering concentrated green tea extract pills, mention that to your pharmacist or doctor first, mostly because of rare liver concerns, not this interaction.

About Testosterone Injection

What Is Testosterone Injection Used For?

Brand name: Xyosted

Testosterone injection is primarily used in men whose bodies do not produce enough testosterone on their own — a condition called hypogonadism. This includes primary hypogonadism (a problem with the testicles themselves, such as from injury, infection, or surgery) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (caused by problems in the brain's hormone signaling from the hypothalamus or pituitary gland). It is also used to stimulate puberty in carefully selected adolescent males with clearly delayed puberty who have not responded to other support.

Testosterone Enanthate Injection is also approved for use in women with advanced, inoperable metastatic breast cancer (specifically skeletal metastases) who are one to five years past menopause, or in premenopausal women with hormone-responsive breast cancer who have had their ovaries removed. This use should be directed by an oncologist. Aveed (testosterone undecanoate) is specifically approved for male hypogonadism only.
