Here's the gist for your Soniphen, which contains phenobarbital. Phenobarbital is a barbiturate that already slows down the central nervous system, so it can make you drowsy, foggy, slow to react, and unsteady on your feet. In one animal study, a water extract of guarumo also calmed the nervous system and caused noticeable muscle relaxation and loss of coordination.

So in theory, pairing the two could pile on the sedation, leaving you more sleepy, dizzy, or wobbly than usual. I want to be honest: this is based only on animal data, not human studies, so it's a possible concern rather than a proven one. Still, with a drug as potent as phenobarbital, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding guarumo.
