Trandolapril, Verapamil falls under CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKERS — the group Hawthorn interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might cause additive coronary vasodilation and hypotensive effects.

Here's the thing with Tarka, which combines trandolapril (an ACE inhibitor) and verapamil (a calcium channel blocker). Both of those ingredients already work to relax your blood vessels and lower your blood pressure. Hawthorn may do a little of the same thing, so stacking them together could, in theory, push your blood pressure down a bit more than expected.

I'll be honest with you though, this concern is mostly based on how these things work on paper, not on strong studies in real patients. If your blood pressure does dip too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unusually tired, especially when standing up. That doesn't mean you can't use hawthorn, but please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on your numbers.
