Azamune (azathioprine) is an immunosuppressant. Doctors prescribe it to calm down an overactive immune system, whether that's after an organ transplant or for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or inflammatory bowel disease. The whole point of the drug is to keep your immune defenses turned down.

Here's the concern with jiaogulan: lab and animal studies suggest it may stimulate the immune system, which is the opposite of what Azamune is trying to do. In theory, that could work against your medication and make it less effective, possibly leading to more disease flares or, in transplant patients, a higher risk of rejection. I want to be honest though, this is a theoretical concern based on how the plant behaves, not proven in people taking Azamune. Still, given the stakes, please check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding it.
