Sitaxsentan sodium falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Khat interacts with.

Human research shows that khat and its constituent, cathinone, can increase blood pressure. Theoretically, khat might reduce the effect of antihypertensive drug therapy. Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Here's the simple version. Sitaxsentan (Thelin) is used to relax and lower the pressure in the blood vessels around your lungs, which is what helps in pulmonary hypertension. Khat does the opposite of what you want. Its stimulant chemicals (mainly cathinone, which acts a lot like amphetamine) tend to raise blood pressure and rev up the heart, so they can work against your medicine and blunt the benefit you're counting on.

On top of that, khat is illegal in the U.S. and genuinely risky for the heart, which matters even more when your lungs and heart are already under strain. The evidence here is modest and partly theoretical, but the direction is clear enough that I'd steer clear. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with Thelin.
